Returns, Refunds, and Cancellation Policy
We have a 30-day return policy on all products. You have 30 days to submit a request for a return. Items that have been opened or used are non-returnable and non-refundable. There is a 15% restocking fee upon return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with any seal intact and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the packing slip or proof of purchase. If the item you wish to return is not broken or damaged, you will be responsible for the shipping fees incurred to return the product to Messy Beaks. This includes items that are covered under warranty.
To start a return request, contact us at info@messybeaks.com to see if your item qualifies. Items that do not qualify for return or exchange include, but are not limited to, items purchased by mistake, items without the seal intact, or items not in original packaging.
If you have changed your mind about your purchase and your item is unused and still in the original packaging, you may email us to request a return within 30 days of the original purchase, but you are responsible for the return shipping cost and will be charged a 15% restocking fee.
If your item has a manufacturing defect, we will send you a return shipping label to send it back to our headquarters. Once items are inspected, you will be issued a refund or replacement if it qualifies. You can always contact us for any return questions at info@messybeaks.com.
Cancellations
Beginning on January 1, 2025, orders will no longer be eligible for cancellation after they have been placed. This change is necessary to address the growing challenges caused by last-minute cancellations, especially after orders are fulfilled and ready for shipment. Each cancellation is disrupting our lightning fast ship times, and incurs significant costs that impact our ability to offer high-quality products and services at competitive prices.
We understand that mistakes can happen, and to accommodate such situations, we’ve established the following options:
1. You may accept the delivery and return the item(s) at your cost following our standard return process.
2. You may refuse the delivery when it arrives and will be refunded minus a 15% restocking fee when Messy Beaks receives the package back at HQ.
Missing or Lost Packages
We STRONGLY recommend customers use Route Shipping Insurance on all orders. Route Insurance is enabled automatically by default. If you disable Route Insurance and your package is lost, damaged, or stolen, it is your responsibility to start a claim with the courier. If your package is lost and you verified that you do have Route Insurance on the order, follow this link to file a claim. A Route representative will be in communication with you about your order. If your order qualifies, a Route representative will either refund you or replace your order at no cost to you.
Incorrect Address
If you include the wrong address on your order and the delivery cannot be made, you will be responsible for the shipping fees to reship your package.
Package Refusals
If you refuse your package upon delivery, you are responsible for return shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee. Refunds will be processed for the remaining balance upon request and approval by management.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If there are any issues as such, you have 7 days to alert us of a missing or incorrect item.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Custom products (such as special orders, personalized items, or final sale items) cannot be returned. Please contact us with questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on final sale items or gift cards.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Refunds will not be issued for promo codes or discount codes if they were not entered or valid during the checkout process. We cannot retroactively accept discounts after a transaction is complete.
